2008 YTD Section Update
By the time you read this column we will be a few weeks away from ending the year. Thus far I am encouraged by the level of activity within the section.
With Shawn and Eric’s help our primary communication venues; the e-newsletter and website present a professional look with some good content. We continue to look for new material to publish and would encourage everyone to submit newsworthy items and technical information.
Dinner meeting attendance has been steady. I would like to thank Penta Career Center for hosting the tour of their wonderful building last month. I hear that everyone got a good workout hiking around the 500,000 square foot facility. I am looking forward to December’s dinner meeting at Mancy’s Italian. Erik is a Lima section member who has a great story to tell about ProTec.
Our BGSU student section had their first meeting in October. I believe that more than a dozen interested students submitted membership applications last month. I hope that we can spend some time with these folks over the remaining 6 months of the school year.
