Topic: State of the Section, Current Events and Moving Forward
This month’s dinner meeting will be very interactive. Normally, this meeting is geared to recognizing our Scholarship Winners, Section’s Officers and Committee Chairs. Yes, this will happen, but the goal is to bring the Section’s business to you, our membership. Most noteworthy, many of our members will be recognized for their continued and loyal support. This meeting is a celebration and should prove to have a few surprises. Meet the new (and some old) faces that have and will keep our Section active and going forward. Like any good organization, the more you know and participate, the stronger its foundation.

Member Benefit Notice: Assistance for
Unemployed Members
The Toledo Section is pleased to announce a new member benefit.
The Toledo Section will sponsor the monthly dinner fees for unemployed members
(up to 3 members) so that they can attend the dinner meetings and network with
other ASQ Toledo Section Members. To maintain the cost of running the assistance
program, the following limits have been established. Unemployed members may use
this benefit for two section meetings per ASQ fiscal year. The Toledo Section
will sponsor up to 3 members each month. The benefits will be given on a “first
come, first served” basis.
Requirements
• Proof of Toledo ASQ section membership
• Unemployed for at least 30 days prior to section meeting
• Actively seeking employment.
Unemployed members need to register for dinner meetings
through normal means and by the registration deadline. At the time of
registration, the member must include a request for the
unemployed member sponsorship. The member will be notified if the section has
already received 3 requests. A no-show will be deducted from the
unemployed member's two allotted dinner meetings.
The Executive Board meets once a month to discuss section business and policies. Listed below are the scheduled dates for the 2007 - 2008 section year. Section members are welcome to attend, however, room is limited. Please contact the section secretary in advance if you plan on attending. The meeting location rotates between a north and south restaurant (Charlie's, 6pm) to accommodate the geographic logistics of the board membership. Meetings begin at 6pm and usually run between 60 - 90 minutes.
